The role of Chemistry in Medicine
In this lecture Professor Ivan Parkin, Dean of Mathematical & Physical Sciences, UCL, will cover some of the work that UCL have been doing. He will look at the development of the Periowave system - a treatment for periodontal disease; at MRSAid a preventative measure against hospital acquired infection and the role of light activated surfaces to prevent disease. He will also look at the effectiveness of masks and disinfectants in helping to limit the spread of COVID during the pandemic.
Refreshments are available from 6pm, lecture starts at 6.15pm in the Theatre. Parking is available in the main school car park. Please use the entrance to the extreme right of the main reception to get to the theatre.
