Year 8 Triumph In MK Schools' Basketball Championship

Congratulations to our Year 8 basketball team who triumphed in the recent MK Schools Basketball Championship. The team met Denbigh in the final and won 8 – 6.

Year 8 are also entered into the Jr NBA tournament, a National tournament which is split into regional areas.  St Paul’s is competing against five other schools in MK and if we win the group we then go into the next round. Each school has been given a brand new kit which represents one of the 30 NBA teams.  Our team will be wearing the Minnesota Timberwolves kit.

St Paul’s won this tournament three years ago with our current year 11 students. At that time the team included one of our basketball stars Kofi Asare, who recently left the school to play basketball on a full scholarship in America.  Who knows, perhaps one of these up and coming Year 8 basketball stars could be our next Kofi!
