D & T Students Visit Design Museum
We were delighted to give 100 Year 9 Design and Technology students the opportunity to go on a trip to the Science Museum in London. The aim of the trip was for students to witness the close links between Science and Design and Technology. Students enjoyed the museum and the trip into London. There were several wonderful exhibitions on display including the ‘David Sainsbury Technicians Exhibition’. This exhibition brought to life a wide variety of workplaces, from a blockbuster film set to a pharmaceutical lab, allowing students to experience the hidden yet vital careers of technicians.
Students were brilliantly behaved on the day and it was great to see them interacting with the displays whilst at the museum. Students will now have plenty of opportunities to apply what they learnt on the day to their studies in Design and Technology.
