Virtual Career WorkOuts Are A Hit With Students

Worktree, the company that organises Career WorkOut sessions for St Paul’s, has awarded the school an Employer Encounters Certificate for engaging students in classroom conversations with guests from the world of work.

From 1st September 2022 to 3rd March 2023 469 students were met and interviewed, with 109 work guests from 52 companies taking part in 31 Virtual Career WorkOut sessions delivered by Worktree.

Guests gave our students some very positive feedback. One said: “The students were great and asked some really insightful questions”, another commented: “St Paul’s you were fantastic today. Some great questions asked – you were a delight!”

Matt Jones, who leads our St Paul’s Careers programme, said: “Virtual Career WorkOuts give our students access to a wide range of employers including NatWest Bank, Thames Valley Police, Willmott Dixon Construction, Network Rail, Sainsbury’s Argos and Volkswagen Group UK. They can put questions to people who are actually doing jobs and learn about their real life experiences.
