Maths Week 2023

We've been celebrating all things numerical during Maths Week. As is tradition, the Maths Department wore Maths related outfits and this was also embraced by our English and Emmaus Student Support Departments.

On Pi Day our canteens served tasty pies. We also had special visitors including a team from Balfour Beatty who worked with Year 8 to use their mathematical skills to build wind turbines.

Students had the opportunity to apply their numeracy skills across the curriculum by completing the Maths Day starters in all their lessons and solving problems. Starters were proudly created by the Maths ambassadors. Students have been collecting green stamps throughout the week for applying their numeracy skills in their learning and these can be entered into a draw to win lots of fantastic prizes.
