Oliver Speaks About Training For Priesthood
We were very pleased to have Oliver Patton, a seminarian with Northampton Diocese, talking to our Year 7 and 8 students in RE.
Olly, as he likes to be known, spoke about vocation and his call to discipleship and priesthood. He spoke about his early life and his previous career in customer service and as a language teacher in Spain before he had his calling to vocation.
Mrs Macpherson, Head of RE, said: "This was a fantastic opportunity for pupils to understand their own calling to vocation as well as supporting their current learning in RE."
Pupils were invited to do readings and asked a number of questions that ranged from how long it takes to study to be a priest, to what his favourite football team is and whether he has any pets! Olly also prayed with the children at the end of each session.
We thank Olly for spending time with our students and wish him well with his future studies and his path to priesthood.
